Every figure is read from contract award notices published by UK public bodies — councils, NHS trusts, housing associations, government departments — under the Open Government Licence. Nothing is estimated, modelled or filled in. A figure appears only once enough awards support it, and it always states how many.
The figures are rebuilt each night, last on 6 August 2026. They cover publicly tendered work, which is not the same as domestic or private commercial work: a price here is what a public body paid a contractor on a contract that went through a formal tender.
